KCAI to CamdenTown 1990

In Spring 1990, with my great friend Gerald Ross, leaving Kansas City for Amsterdam to see the new Van Gogh Museum and Retrospect marking the Centenary of Vincents death. It was a pivitol moment for me.
Travelling Europe for months, I ended up in East Berlin to experience thier recent emancipation from the failing Soviet Union.
In May of 1990 I crossed the English Channel, Calais to Dover. I found room and board near Chalk farm and Camden Town. It was an invigorating time in my life. Feeling a sense of autonomy I made a living doing Portraits in Covent Garden.
I had no Idea that I would spend most of the next 2 decades in London!
